There are not many farmers in Sweden, and of the few it is mixed between subsistence and commercial farming.
1.8 % of Sweden’s workforce is comprised of farmers or other closely related agricultural jobs.
The main types of farming in Sweden is dairy farming, which is responsible for 20% of swedish agricultural production and forestry which is roughly 50%.
The Green Revolution has had a particular impact in Sweden and on its citizens. The government urged everyone to trade in their cars for more eco friendly “green cars.” This caused people to feel good about driving their cars, so they drove them even more. In result Sweden’s greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector went up! The Green Revolution had a reverse effect on Sweden and its people.

In Africa, the green revolution was supposed to do great things, however it backfired. The new things introduced to these poor countries did not work for the local and diverse soils. Instead of helping the Democratic Republic of Congo, the green revolution did the opposite.
